My name is Nate Creekmore. I am an illustrator and a cartoonist. I was raised in a military family and grew up in Germany, Turkey, and various parts of the United States. I live in Atlanta, Georgia with my wife and our daughter.
I twice received the Charles M. Schulz Award for cartooning from The Scripps Howard Foundation and worked as a syndicated newspaper cartoonist (producing a daily comic strip called Maintaining) for a number of years. I created character designs for New York Times best-selling author Shea Serrano and worked for Bandera Entertainment. My illustrations frequently accompany articles written for the sports and pop culture website The Ringer. In 2020, I sold original artwork to Spike Lee.
